Born and raised in Vista, North San Diego, Susan went to Vista public schools and began her career the day after she graduated high school. After getting her feet wet as a receptionist at the local newspaper for a couple of years, she transitioned to a local real estate agency where in addition to her receptionist duties she also designed promotional materials for their advertising efforts.
Then began her 38 year bank career where in addition to bookkeeping and operations, she held various customer service positions such as telephone agent; responsible for routing telephone calls for 17 branches, safe deposit clerk, and client services specialist; where she assisted customers in opening new accounts and obtaining loans.
After moving to Temecula, in South Riverside County, Susan and her husband Ron Douglas began running their own repair business part time while Ron worked full time as a bus driver. Susan and Ron worked on developing their business together, and as the business gained velocity they were able to focus on it totally. With Susan handling the phone, scheduling, and billing and Ron providing the servicing and repairs, they have spent the last ten years going out on calls together and growing a successful business. Through all of this they have noticed that, as in most everything else in life, change is the only constant in the appliance field.
Craig Meadows literally grew up in the television services industry. His father opened Meadows Sunset back in 1960 when Craig was nine years old. His father bought Hollis TV about twenty five years ago. After Moving back to Bakersfield Craig became the lead technician in his family’s business. Shortly thereafter his dad retired and Craig took over the business. Over the years, Hollis TV has worked hard to build trust and provide a standard of excellence their customers can rely on. Debra was a mother with 2 small children when she graduated from the Appliance Service Technology Program at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA in 1991. After graduation, her career as an In Home Service Technician took her to positions in companies both large and small where she gained experience in a variety of industry related areas including answering phones, dispatching, working in the field, and mentoring new technicians. Fieldwork and mentoring were particularly resonant areas, an affinity which foreshadowed her later career as an educator.
With over 25 years of industry experience behind her Debra returned to the Appliance Service Technology Program in August 2013 as a part time teacher. By August 2016 she had converted to teaching full time. Furthering the vision of Len Price, past PSOC President and the founder of the AST Program at Los Medanos College, Debra sees herself as a conduit in the Program’s long standing tradition of providing well educated technicians capable of serving the needs of a diverse marketplace. Her goal as an educator is to continue to cover the fundamentals of operation, diagnostics, and repair, while expanding on the areas of Customer Service and Home Care knowledge needed to be competitive in today’s job market.

Dave grew up in the small appliance, radio and TV repair business and started working for his Dad at Dependable Electric and Appliance service while he was still in High school. Their company serviced everything from TV, radio, stereo, small appliance, vacuum and more. If it plugged in or took batteries they did their best to service it! Even mechanical issues were solved thanks to their combined years of experience and knowledge.
Learning from his Dad for many years has helped Dave keep a open mind and complete repairs others might not attempt. Dave has been full time at Dependable Since 1979, and the shop has been at the same location for close to 50 years. They hope to be here for many more. To better encompass the breadth of their capabilities the company will soon change its name to Dependable Electronics and TV repair, and still hopes to be your go-to service provider for years to come.
