The PSOC 2007 convention held at
the Coast Long Beach Hotel in
Long Beach,
CA
was an overwhelming success based
upon feedback for all of our sponsors,
members and general attendees totaling175
participants!
Technical training from major manufacturers,
service management seminars given
by industry professionals along
with the great location, food and
entertainment, made for one of the
best PSOC Conventions in recent
times.
Technical training was provided
by Bertazzoni, Electrolux, General
Electric, Haier
America,
JVC, LaCornue, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic,
Philips, Sharp, Sub- Zero, Thomson,
Toshiba, Viking and Whirpool.
Service management and customer
service seminars were highlighted
by a comprehensive presentation
by
Jim Rushton
on how to conduct profitable in
home service calls. Teresa Omar
of
Hitachi
held an outstanding class on world
class customer service while David
Velasquez of ESI Enterprises presented
a seminar on customer service dynamics.
We
also had a local representative
from the IRS present a tax program
for small business owners, among
many other informative sessions.
Representatives from the State’s
Bureau of Electronics and Appliance
Repair (“BEAR”) conducted a general
meeting open to the public and held
a business class entitled, “Writing
it Write”.
The association was also successful
in selling a large quantity of fund
raising raffle tickets and many
great prizes were won donated by
Andrews Electronics, Coast Appliance
Parts, Electrolux, Fedders Appliances,
Haier America, Hitachi, Panasonic,
Philips, Purcell Murray, Samsung,
Sharp, Sub-Zero, Thomson, Toshiba
and Whirlpool.
Our function sponsors that supported
all of the great food, hospitality

next year’s convention which will
be held on the beautiful Queen Mary
ship located in the
Long Beach,
CA
harbor beginning
April 29, 2008.
