YOU COULD BE THE CUSTOMER - PART 2 - UPDATE

Well, the saga continues - it's almost getting funny.  A new service company was assigned to the service The technician arrived on October 2nd in shorts, a T-shirt with the flag on the front and a big hole in the middle.  After inspecting the refrigerator he told me he wasn't sure what the problem was.  It could be the evaporator or the mother board.  He looked at the part that was taken out on the previous service and wanted to check it with his meter.  After a few minutes he informed me he didn't think the meter worked because a customer had stepped on it about a week before.  I was informed at this point he would have to return to the office and check with the manufacturer to see what they wanted to do.  As he left I noticed there was no paperwork and asked him for a receipt.  He said he couldn't give me one because they didn't have a way to make duplicates.  I asked him if I could make a copy myself and he was fine with that.

On the 6th I called to see what the manufacturer had decided to do.  I was told each part would be replaced and it would take about seven days for the parts to arrive.  On the 13th I still had not heard anything so I called again.  I was told someone would call me when the part came in.  The evening of the 17th I received a call from the service company telling me they would be out the next day between 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m..  When I asked if they could narrow that down I was told someone would call me early on the 18th to let me know.  At 9:45 a.m. Ireceived a call letting me know the technician would be out before noon.

He arrived once again in shorts and a T-shirt but this time without any holes.  I thought that was an improvement.  He asked if I could help move the refrigerator as he was concerned he would scratch the floor.  I told him I didn't want that to happen and he said, "some times it does and we can't do anything about it."  Well, we didn't scratch the floor but I'm sure if we had it would have been my fault

After the service was completed once again I saw no paperwork and asked if I could make a copy of his.  This time he had no paperwork himself.  He said the office would provide something if I needed it.  When I called the office  I was told I wouldn't get a copy of anything until the manufacturer had paid them.  I informed her that was against the law in the State of California.  They had to leave some type of paperwork showing what was done.  She told me it would go in the mail right away.  Guess what - as of today I still don't have it - but the good news - the noise is gone - FOR NOW.
